Foregut duplications

Developmental anomaly information

Definition: Foregut duplications include esophageal cystic or tubular duplications and bronchogenic cysts. Due to foregut derivation of the duplications, they can be associated with an extralobar sequestration or a stenosis/atresia of the esophagus. Cysts are usually located in the right posterior mediastinum.
